Dogs die in hot cars Infographic
As summer has finally arrived here in the UK, it seemed an important time to remind everyone about dogs and cars and the dangers they can pose.
We all know the adage, ” Dogs Die in Hot Cars”, but it doesn’t stop any owners just ‘popping to the shop’ and leaving their best friend in the car. Even 10 minutes can be deadly, as the glass acts like a greenhouse, heating the temperature inside the car much faster and hotter than the temperature outside.
If the temp outside is 24c, the temp in the car after just 10 minutes will reach 38c, and if it’s 29c outside, in just 30 minutes it will be 49C!
The safest solution is never to leave your dog in the car, even with the windows down.
