People often ask where the idea for our pet rugs and accessories came from.

The answer is simple. As lifelong dog owners, we design products that make life with pets easier, cleaner and more enjoyable. Every product begins with a real-life challenge in our own home – something we needed but simply couldn't find on the market.

Whether it's muddy paws after a walk, protecting the car on an adventure, or keeping furniture clean for post-walk snuggles, every design is created to make everyday life with pets that little bit easier. That's why we say every Pet Rebellion product is truly Inspired by Pets.

Before any product reaches our customers, it's thoroughly tested at home by the people who matter most – our own pets. Over the years, Hugo the Leonberger, Albert the Cocker Spaniel and now Fig have all played an important role in putting our products through their paces. Our cat products have also been expertly road-tested by Troy, Bailey and Roseabella, the cats of our team members.

It all started with Hugo. After charging in from the garden one muddy day and slipping on a towel left by the back door, we realised there had to be a better way to keep floors clean and safe. That simple moment sparked an idea, and the very first Pet Rebellion product was born.

Since then, our dogs have continued to inspire many of the products we create.

Albert was next. As a puppy, he loved travelling in the front seat with Sarah on the way to training classes. Although he was safely secured with a harness and seatbelt, it soon became clear that we needed something to make his journeys more comfortable while protecting the car seats from muddy paws, scratches and dog hair. It also had to be quick and easy to fit, with no awkward clips or cords. After plenty of testing, the Car Seat Carpet was born.

Mealtimes inspired another practical solution. We wanted something better than plastic mats that simply stay wet after spills, so we designed our Absorbent Food Mats to soak up splashes and help keep feeding areas cleaner, drier and protected.

Then came Fig. When he joined the Foard family, we quickly realised that protecting the floors wasn't enough – our furniture needed protection too. Like most dogs, Fig loves an energetic zoomie followed by a well-earned snooze on the sofa after a muddy walk. That's when the Comfy Cover was created: a soft, fully machine washable, non-slip sofa cover that protects furniture from muddy paws, wet coats and everyday dog life, while keeping everyone comfortable for those post-walk cuddles.

Every Pet Rebellion product has a story like this. They aren't designed in a boardroom or dreamed up to follow trends – they're inspired by real life with our own pets. Today, we continue to create practical, durable products that make life cleaner, easier and more enjoyable for pets and the people who love them.
